Sometimes, people just fit together. That was certainly the case with the couple I photographed in Amsterdam. They are perfect for each other, and I got along well with them when we talked. They were from northern Germany and were vacationing in lively Amsterdam.

I approached this attractive man on the street in NYC and asked for a photo. At first he didn't react, but he turned around and asked me how he should stand. His facial expression was up to him, and the whole picture reminded me of a famous singer I miss.

I photographed the lady from Vienna in front of St. Stephen's Cathedral. She lives without a computer or cell phone. We still run into each other from time to time. Her striking facial features could hardly portray life better.

After we were led to the dinosaur footprints, I asked the woman if I could take a picture. It's one of the most interesting photos I've ever taken. I want to take a series of pictures of people wearing large headphones. Young women, in particular, often wear them. After I introduced myself, the woman agreed to have her picture taken, which made me very happy. The combination of the headphones and her strong expression created a well-balanced image.

I waited twenty minutes in front of a shop for the young woman to come out again so I could ask her to pose for a photo. She resembles Venus in Sandro Botticelli's circa 1485 painting, The Birth of Venus. This masterpiece depicts the arrival of the goddess Venus on the coast of Paphos. I only had 20 seconds to take the photo, and I'm grateful to the woman for posing for it.
