A collection of interesting, charismatic people I met by chance. I am often asked why I chose this particular person. It is a combination of appearance and charisma that meet my criteria here.

These photographs are quiet snapshots from walks and travels—moments noticed rather than staged. Each carries a small story of its own, too subtle to label but meaningful nonetheless.

The idea for this project emerged during a guided tour of the Kunsthistorisches Museum, during which the works of Rembrandt and his pupil, Hoogstraten, were compared. A woman in our group stood in front of a painting and said: 'Life in a woman's handbag.' This became the project's title. The project was completed in August and will be published here.
